Britney Spears was all smiles as she accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
The 32-year-old pop superstar shared an Instagram video on Monday as she joined the ranks of celebrities promoting awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
Britney looked relaxed as she wore white sunglasses and had her hands on her hips at the start of the short video.
'I want to thank Jamie Lynn Spears for nominating me for the Ice Bucket Challenge and I want to nominate Adam Sandler, David Lucado and Robin Greenhill,' Britney said cheerily referencing the comedian, her boyfriend and her business manager.
The Toxic singer then put her arms to her side and braced herself for the icy dousing but was still surprised by the cold shock.
Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kate Upton, 22, teamed up with her profession baseball player boyfriend Justin Verlander, 31, as they accepted the challenge in an Instagram video posted on Monday.
Kate challenged her The Other Woman co-stars Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann and make-up artist Bobbi Brown to the challenge before she and Justin took turns dousing each other.
The model had her blonde hair in a ponytail and wore a white hoodie and black leggings as she got soaked and squealed.
Anna Kendrick participated in the challenge in a short white dress and doused herself after challenging Aubrey Plaza, John Krasinski and Cat Deeley.
Mayim Bialik, Kaley Cuoco, Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens, James Franco, Behati Prinsloo and Vanilla Ice also shared Instagram videos of themselves on Monday taking part in the awareness campaign.
Vanilla Ice, 46, also took part in the challenge and noted in an Instagram video that his grandfather died from the disease.
