American barber Rob Ferrell is offering customers a range of unique and hair-raising designs at his salon with a difference

These are the hair-raising artworks of a barber who has created celebrity portraits on the backs of his client’s heads.

Master barber Rob Ferrell has proved he's one cool cutter by transforming customers' barnets into the faces of celebrities.
The Texan hairdresser, who runs a shop in San Antonio, uses little more than a pair of clippers, a traditional metal razor and some eyeliner pencils to craft his amazing designs.
From Nelson Mandela and Marilyn Monroe to Cristian Ronaldo and even Edward Scissorhands himself, Rob's incredibly detailed portraits are instantly recognisable.
The hair artist - known as 'Rob the Original' - is a former carpenter who discovered his talent using his 14-year-old brother as a guinea pig for his first portrait in 2008.
Since then, the hair artist has became a celebrity in his own right, after his portrait of basketball player Tony Parker went viral in 2012.
Now, people flock to his barber shop from all over the country requesting custom designs.
From rapper Tupac Shakur, actor Johnny Depp or President Barrack Obama, Rob's designs are proving to be a cut above the rest with fans.
And during the World Cup his popularity soared again with clients requesting football and player-themed images.
