Neighbours battled desperately to help the 15-month-old girl but she later died in hospital

Tragic accident: The house in Leeds near where the toddler was killed
A toddler has died after she was run over by her own father in a tragic accident. The 15-month-old girl, who has not yet been named, was left with fatal injuries after the accident outside her house in Belle Isle, Leeds, early on Saturday evening.
The Yorkshire Post reports that despite desperate attempts to save the youngster, she was pronounced dead after arriving at hospital. Detectives have spoken to her dad, but do not believe he was to blame for what happened.

Sergeant Carl Quinn, from West Yorkshire Police, said: "We are conducting a full investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding this child's death although early indications are that this appears to have been a tragic accident."
"We are working closely we the child's family to support them at what will clearly be a very difficult time for them."
Police were called to Cromwell Mount in Belle Isle at 7.36pm on Saturday to reports of a serious collision involving a child and a black Toyota Avensis.
Neighbours fought desperately to help the little girl, with one performing CPR until paramedics arrived, before the toddler was taken by ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary.
She died a short time later.
