A truly rare phenomenon graced the skies over Wiltshire - an upside down smiling rainbow.
The circumzenithal arc, or Bravias' arc, which has been compared to a smile in the sky was taken at Bowood Golf Club in Wiltshire.
The rainbow, which is created when sunlight bounces off ice crystals high in the atmosphere only occurs when the crystals are at a specific angle to the sun.
A Met Office spokesman told the BBC: "They are seen relatively rarely in the UK but the more defined they are, the rarer they are."
The image was captured by keen golfer Henry Pawlak, who spotted the 'smiling rainbow' while playing a round of golf.
He told the BBC: "It was so unusual and something I've never seen in my 58 years that I thought it was worth taking some snaps.
"They don't seem to hang about for long and we were that early on the course - I don't think there was anyone else around who saw it."
